Personal History: Ron was born the youngest son to Arthur and Molly Weasley. He had five brothers that came before him, each with their own set of accomplishments, and parents who barely had enough money to provide for them all. Growing up, Ron’s things were always used hand-me-downs (from his not-actually-a-rat pet rat to his wand and his robes). The Weasley’s had one child after him, a girl nick-named Ginny. Their house, the Burrow, was overcrowded and stuffed with mix-matched rooms. Despite their poverty, the Weasley family was extremely loving and even though they were pureblood they embraced Muggles and Muggle-born. Ron grew up used to having a lot of people around him at all times. His father was a self-proclaimed "Muggle-lover" and was in love with all things Muggle, so Ron was more exposed to Muggle artifacts than other Wizarding children, although this means very little for his knowledge about them.

When Ron turned eleven he got his letter to go to Hogwarts and on the train ride there he met the famous Harry Potter. The two ended up in the same house (Gryffindor) and became best friends. Throughout his school years Ron followed Harry and while they remained good friends there were times when Ron’s jealousy over Harry’s talent, wealth, and fame got the best of them. The worst fight the two of them had at the school was during the Triwizard Tournament which resulted in them not speaking to each other for months on end. Ron also met Hermione Granger, a girl that infuriated him by being a “know-it-all” but also became a close friend to him and Harry (and more than a friend for Ron).

During their last year at school, Ron and Hermione both left Hogwarts in favor of following Harry on his quest to defeat Voldemort. Overexposure to one of Voldermort’s Horcruxes caused Ron to lash out at Harry and drove him away from Harry and Hermione. The guilt that he experienced from that eventually caused him to return (with the help of the Deluminator, a gift left to him by Dumbledore) and save Harry’s life. After that, he has remained extremely loyal to his friend. He stayed with Harry throughout the final battle at Hogwarts and fought along side his friends and family. He saw his older brother Fred die during the battle but he continued to fight and helped Harry win his victory over Voldemort.

After the war, Ronald lacked a sense of direction. He always thought it would be neat to be an Auror but he lacked the confidence to actually try for it. At first he worked odd jobs, wherever he could find them. He also wanted to be the Keeper for his favourite Qudditch team, the Cannons, but nothing came of that. He first came to Annwn without a sense of direction and left after he realized that he needed to sort things out.

Back in the “real world” Ron realized he really didn’t have a lot of skills that could be applied to a real job. He went through the Auror training, thinking it would neat to work with Harry when/if his friend ever returned to work, plus it was work that needed to get done especially considering the current climate of the wizarding world of England. After passing his tests and starting at Ministry, he realized that he really wasn’t happy with that either. He missed Harry and Hermione, so he returned to Annwn.
